Vitamin D is fat-soluble vitamin that is essential for bone and vascular health. It acts on calcium and guides minerals towards where it is needed throughout the body.


Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) has the highest bioavailability among vitamin D groups. It plays a role in growth and maintenance of healthy bones and teeth. Recent research provides evidence of vitamin D against development of osteoporosis. Vitamin D3 aids calcium absorption from the intestine, reduces calcium excretion, and facilitates calcium incorporation into the bones.
