Garcinia Cambogia, also known as Garcinia gummi-gutta, is a subtropical species of Garcinia native to Indonesia, grown for fruit in southeastern Asia and west and central Africa. The fruit rind and extracts of Garcinia species are used in many traditional recipes. In the Indian Ayurvedic medicine, "sour" flavours are said to activate digestion.
