Acai Berry is a palm fruit that grows in the tropical rainforests of the Amazon - the Brazilians call this tree the "Tree of Life." In the past, acai berries were only popular in Brazil because they spoiled easily. With advances in fresh fruit production methods, the beneficial properties of these fruits can now be preserved and used even outside of the region. Since then, news about acai berries has spread steadily and evidence of its nutritional and health benefits continues to accumulate. Acai berries have gained a reputation as the most effective superfruit or miraculous fruit known throughout the world.

Brazilian acai berries have a high oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) and are at least 22 times more effective at destroying free radicals than other wild berries. The USDA recommends consuming at least 5000 ORAC units (umol TE/100g) per day for optimal health benefits. Unfortunately, most people only consume about 20-25% of this recommended amount in their daily diet.

Acai berries are an excellent source of polyphenols, plant sterols, vitamin E, omega-6 and 9, anthocyanins, and proanthocyanins. Each capsule of Brazilian acai contains 280mg, which is equivalent to 14g of fresh acai berries.








The seal oil is the best source of omega-3 compared to other fish oils. Sea lions are much higher up the food chain than fish. They have a digestive system that filters out many natural impurities found in fish. This "biological filtration system" makes the quality of omega-3 purer and higher than most fish oils, and it also adds essential components that are not found in most fish oils. Sea lion oil contains more than 10 times the amount of DPA compared to fish oil, and recent studies suggest that DPA is as important, if not more important, than EPA or DHA. Although most of the omega-3 components in fish oil do not match those of humans, seal oil has a very similar structure and is easily absorbed by the human digestive system. Unlike many fish oils, seal oil has virtually no cholesterol, while many fish oils have relatively high cholesterol levels.



Seal oil is one of the few natural sources of DPA; it contains more than 10 times the amount of DPA compared to fish oil, which contains very little or no DPA. DPA plays a role in preventing cardiovascular diseases and is involved in the treatment process of atherosclerosis and thrombosis.
DHA is essential for the proper development of vision and motor function in infants and is also an essential fatty acid for the brain, nerves, and eye tissues.
EPA reduces inflammation and blood clots in the cardiovascular system and also has anti-inflammatory effects that help prevent inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, and multiple sclerosis.
